One thing that seems very important to mention is that there is a community centre on our street that was particularly helpful during the pandemic as they distributed free food parcels to the neighbourhood but they also offer childcare, clubs and trips. There are two parks, a children’s park within the estate (accessible to anyone) and a dog park a minute’s walk further. There is a local shop a minute away, a few pubs and a local sainsbury and tesco and a cinema 10 minutes walk away.
Transport
As I already mentioned, there many train stations within walking distance, making a significant amount of journeys permissable, such as Tower Gateway, Tower Hill, Aldgate, Aldgate East and larger stations such as Fenchurch and Liverpool St, all of which are generally reliable. The traffic can be pretty bad sometimes, particularly from 4-6, but some days you can get lucky. I’d say it’s more an area meant to people who make use of public transport but it is also not impossible to have a car, as we have one. The traffic is not too bad depending on your direction, for example the Highway is pretty busy, the direction of Southwark, Limehouse, but smaller roads such as Leman St, Alie St, aren’t too bad. Buses include 15, 100 and others going in pretty much every direction except towards Limehouse/Docklands. The buses do not come to often however and I would suggest using train.

The only issue with my street would be parking availability is pretty bad, traffic noise occasionally but genuinely not so often. The street is mainly filled with families. Bin collection is pretty good too, with loads of bins around.

There are many things in the local area, exciting places to go that are a 5-15 minute walk. Tower bridge and the Tower of London, St Katherine’s Docks with restaurants that have the view of boats and water (particularly beautiful at night) for example Zizzi’s and Kilikiya. Just across the bridge there is The Ivy, Vapianos and more new restaurants to come in that vicinity. Not far from important stations such as Fenchurch, Liverpool St and very close to stations such as Tower Gateway, Tower Hill, Aldgate and Aldgate East. Not to mention Central London is a short drive away.

In E1w alone there are at least 5-8 Santander bike docks to travel and several bus tops along with a overground called wapping which is all very easy to access. Preferably I enjoy walking around this area as you can take in more and greet the welcoming people from this area

21 wapping lane is the most beautiful part of wapping as my estate stands out with its beautiful , complex and rich design , I love sitting in my garden and taking in the peace and quiet with the beautiful water fountains around to enjoy especially during lockdown makes it all the better

My area feels like a spectate city to London!! A great range of amenities and views in my area alone it is just beautiful, only a minute walk down and You’ll be presented with several dinners and corner shops with a local post office all very local with great and friendly people around , many places to eat with family and friends and several pubs to have a good night out. Many open spaces to take in the fresh air and view like wapping park or hermitage park with many riversides to enjoy such a brilliant water view with boats and at night especially where the London bridge and shard lights make it very aesthetic. One amenity I would add to such a lovely area like this is A barber shop!!! A real niche in the market.

Jubilee line runs through the area and all buses can bring you towards central London. Overground goes through Canada Water if you need more access to south London.

While the location is nice and very close to central London there are anti-social elements. There have been fights with weapons during the day and generally the side streets can feel unsafe at night.

The nearby shops and Pubs are great, Canada Water is nearby with frequent buses in that direction. Also maltby market on weekends is a must.
