In recent times i feel like the area has gotten better in some places and worse in others, for example, Brecknock Road isn't what i remember it used to be, over time its seems as though the area has gotten more and more neglected but in other areas it has gotten better with the main reason being the anti social behaviour has gone down substantially. Another complaint is the lack of park of exercise areas available locally. I wouldve liked there to be a track locally that i could exercise on or just more open areas in general.
Transport
Transport is very readily available. At all times you are no further than 2 minute walk away from a bus stop, and you have Kentish Town Station and Tufnell Park Station close by as your link to the underground, with both stations only being a couple or a few stops away from Kings Cross and Euston Station. Both stations run on the Northern Line, which, in my opinion, is the most convenient line.

Parking availability is very good if you want yo park on the road. You will of course need to have a permit to park and parking is free on weekends and free after 6pm on weekdays. Times at which you will most definitely find a free spot close to your destination. Anti-social behaviour on a positive note has improved immensely in recent times. It wasnt extremely bad, but never the less has improved vastly. In terms of traffic noise, you have nothing to worry about, roads are quiet during the day and the only main road, Brecknock Road, isn't even really a main road and rarely gets busy, unless there are road works somewhere up the line, in which case it can get pretty clogged up. At night, it is nice and quiet and peaceful, and you don't have to worry about any shadey characters hanging around as its isnt common around here and everyone is generally very friendly. Tenants around here in the estate I live in are mostly renters, however, majority of the houses in the area are quite big and lustrous and I would expect those to be home owners.

Its fair to say the area is very good when it comes to having amenities available within a short distance from your home. You wont have to walk more than 3 minutes to get to your local shop, where in which youll find all your essential needs such as toilet tissue, milk, nappies etc. (which is a blessing considering the current situation of the UK lockdown). The the most local area where you'll find more diverse shops including health shops, pharmacy, local bakery, a few restaurants would at the upper end of Brecknock Road, near Camden Road, all of which would be a maximum of 8-10 minutes away by walking (3 minutes from my home) and there youll find a much bigger selection and more tha likely to fulfill whatever desire you're feeling. A bit of a longer distance away (no more than 20 minutes away) youll find Kentish Town. Where in which youll find Kentish Town Station, Barclays and Lloyds bank, and many local stores of supermarket giants for example, Sainsburys, Co-Op, Tesco and more, Boots and Superdrug, the Post Office (Post Office available also on Brecknock Road) and many restaurants to eat in or take away and many stores where in which you can pretty much get what you need or desire. In terms of whats missing, is having more open space more readily available. The closest local park to excercise in is Cantelows Park which in my opinion is not very good and is located on a Camden Road, which isnt very discreet for those suffering from insecurities and would much rather exercise in a park more discreet.

I really love the area although sometimes I wish there would be much more greenery on bigger streets as in the city such as London it’s incredibly important to keep it green!

There’s plenty of buses and tube stations, very close by and easy to manouvre, even the rail stations are just round the corner. Travelling from the area was always quick and easy, rarely one would be stuck in tragical if at all.
Community
While there’s no parking the street is pretty quiet, everything is safe and clean, bins collected every Sunday and area kept looking nicely by the council. There is some traffic noise but only during the evening rush out of the city, which is not too bothersome at all.
Amenities
The area is nice and quiet, with plenty of small shops and coffee places, especially really local ones. In my particular area there’s even Italian market, serving traditional local produce. Can’t complain about the closeness of post office which is just here and before pandemic there was also plenty of open gastro pubs. The proximity to both Camden town and Kentish town is delightful and means there’s plenty of choice. Food variety and services are amazing, best ramen in town just round the corner and plenty of different choices all around. Best part is that it’s incredibly close to touristy places but still away enough to be able to enough local atmosphere. The parks are also lovely, plenty of green spaces and areas to take your pets around. Not much is missing other than maybe some fresh cocktail bar instead of only pubs but given the area it could be understandable that such a venture could be risky.

There’s an increasing move towards more gentrified shops and cafés which I welcome. Kentish Town has recently received bad press as a result of a lot of crime in the area last year. I feel as though gentrification introduce a different vibe to the area. A vibe that I think is needed at this point.
