Everything you want on your doorstep

The area has undergone regeneration, with Willesden library being redesigned into a trendy workspace. The high road is always is busy, even on the quietest of days you’ll find shops with queues. I love how everything is walking distance. I can walk to big Sainsbury’s in 5 minutes, and to the underground station in 10. My nearest bus stop is 30 seconds away, and my nearest park is also less than 10 minutes away (depending on how fast you walk). This area is perfect if you want everything at your doorstep, with the post office and a corner shop a 30 second walk from my front door.

Transport

Service links are very reliable. The underground is at the heart of the high road, with its line being the Jubilee. In my opinion this is the best line, as it takes you all the way to central London (baker st) within 15 minutes and no changes. Willesden station is convenient and mostly pretty clean, and an ideal location if you travel out of the area for work The busses are mostly reliable, just like any other area, bus stops sometimes close due to road works, but this is to be expected living in the city.

Community

Mostly families living on my street, with lots of couples and new babies residing in the private flats opposite my street. Bin collections are on time and anti-social behaviour has plummeted since the redoing of the Willesden library, which has brought class and a homely feel to the area.

Amenities

The local shops are eclectic and welcoming, with Willesden high road being the hime of the extremely popular Habaneros, Lezziz Charcoal grill and Beer + burger. People come from all over the north west area to eat at these places, with queues every night. Also, the high road has delicious, small boutique cafes for your morning coffee and croissant, as well as having big ones such as Gails. Whether you’re feeling sushi or Italian food, Willesden has it all. The pub scene isn’t was this area is known for, however there are traditional pubs that mostly senior locals use. In terms of open spaces, there is plenty, with Roundwood park and Willesden sports centre being a lovely place to walk your dog or go for a job.

I think it’s a combination of everything to be honest trendy and traditional and it’s as safe as can be I’ve lived here my whole life and never I repeat never have been fearful of going outside or anything if anything I embrace the area I live in and enjoy the amazing activities we have seeing as we have access to a lot of different things.

The busses come at the latest every ten minutes which is very convenient and there’s loads around and we have access to trains as well.

Community

On our street we have a private park on our estate which is very good for any kids on the estate.

Amenities

We have loads of shops and Access to loads of different parks there’s fun for everyone and it is a safe area for everyone.
