Peckham is becoming more trendy with lovely bars, places to eat, gyms and more. There is also a lot of green areas to walk in whether that’s Peckham Rye Park or little patches of green dotted around the area. They’re great to walk around in or do your daily exercise routines.

Most of the buses come on a regular basis. However, like most places, sometimes the buses can take longer than expected. There are lots of different bus routes that take you all over London. There are also 4 or 5 easy routes to train stations either by walking or taking a bus. All trains take you all over London and beyond and are on a regular time table.
Community
My street specifically is lovely to live on. Most of the neighbours know each other and talk to each other. Everyone asks favours of each other and pre-covid, we had lots of street parties where we’d share drinks and food. Children play together all the time and the adults often have drinks together. Most of the children also go to the same primary school.

There are 4 corner shops where I live and so if you need something last minute there is easy access. There’s also easy access to 4 train stations, by walking or by taking a bus. There’s also lots of different bus routes which take you all over London. There are lots of shops, whether they are small business or big, there is everything you could possibly need. There is lots of green space, ideal for families or people with pets or just people who like to go on walks and do exercise. For those with families, there are lots of local primary schools and secondary schools and easy ways to travel to other secondary schools and places that children may want to meet with friends. Overall, it is a lovely place to live with easy access to lots of resources.

I like the fact that it always feels safe, that I can speak to all of my neighbours in the most openly spaced way, kids can interact and play together and become more independent with the local parks and shops being so close. The area can be run down in some places that could use a spot of paint here if there but in no way does this bring down the area as a whole. Overall the area has been a great place for me to live in for many years and somewhere I would not be in any rush to move from any time soon as it’s my home.

With a bus garage in the centre and a multi platform station linking to central London and Kent areas it is a great place to be able to get around. There are also bud lanes in both directions a cross the high streets and main roads so cyclists can get around with ease.
Community
Great privacy away from the main roads specifically, but with a bus stop at the bottom of the road that serves buses that takes you all though south and central London it is easy to get about from home. Well light up area with no antisocial activity at any time of day, garages to rent so you have your own space for storage or a car on your front door step too. Very friendly environment for families and kids to feel safe.

The local area brings a spirited feel to it full of life from the many different range of shops to the friendly locals you meet all around always willing to give a helping hand. There are also a great range of local businesses producing home brewed beers to your freshly grown foods, lots of different choices of pubs and cocktails bars and even a well reviewed snooker club. There is a park right in the centre with beautiful scenery from its gardens and fresh cut pitches of grass areas for picnicking or outdoor sports, with even a cricket cage built in too. A peaceful area with so much more to discover.

Love the fact our neighbours are friendly and we all get on very well. Now the building work has started, our area is not suitable for children or pets. Our view is purple boards and a building site which isn’t nice at all!

Peckham Rye- you have access to all sorts of transport. Bus stops close together. Easily get to a train station. There are also maps at the bus stops to help with your travel. Cycle lanes put in for safety in certain parts of Peckham. Transport usually reliable. 343s and 484s usually come regularly.
Community
Good aspects is living so close to a park. Neighbours are like a little community and everyone speaks and get on well. Live amongst home owners and council residence. Mixed between elderly and families mainly.
Amenities
You have lots of lovely restaurants around. Forest Hill and Dulwich especially. Fab open spaces, great for kids. Peckham Rye park is amazing for all ages, great scenery. I would say, a decent coffee shop near Peckham Rye park would be great!
