The place empties out in the Summer as there are less kids and everyone goes on holiday - it's a great time to be here. I like the energy and buzz of living in a busy area, but it's great in the Summer when getting a table outside at bars or cafes is easier.
Transport
I go up to Camberwell Campus a lot. Can either get the train or bus. Try to take the bus, as its cheaper. Takes longer though. Often I get a seat, but don't go at rush hour times.
Community
I live on the Pymers Mead estate which actually isn't as pretty as the rest of Dulwich as the architecture is more modern. It's a very safe estate to be on though which means I can come home late without worrying too much about getting mugged.

Like my location a lot - in between a few shopping spots. Most have interesting shops - Dulwich Trader is a good shop for random interior bits. West Norwood good for cheaper shops - but like window shopping in Dulwich village and some West Dulwich shops. Herne Hill also cool - love Canopy Beer and Bullfinch Brewery.

It’s suitable for children and pets as we have Bel air park near buy and brockwell park either a bus ride or half hour walk. The downside is that lambeth council should the leaves from the pavement properly as this is a dangerous hazard if it’s wet etc
Transport
We have the 322 bus which takes us to west Norwood, where more cafes and shops are. This bus will also go into Brixton and through to clapham common, and back up to Crystal Palace. Grass are kept lawned. West Dulwich station needs to have a passengers lift installed as disabled people with mobility disability & elderly wouldn’t be able to go up the stairs.
Community
There are families who own their property and cancel tenants. The bad points are that the recycle bins sometimes haven’t been collected. Parking is ok when we don’t have people who doesn’t live around here use it asa car park while the get the train or bus into the city.

Gp and pharmacy very close by, west Dulwich station within walking distance . No.3 bus to the city and close to good schools, cafes, shops etc

The properties are quite good, the porters try to keep the Estate clean. No anti social behaviour. Dustbins emptied regularly. Very quiet Estate, parking wardens enforce Estate but parking is free for residents. No pubic transport on or near Estate.

Tulse Hill and West Dulwich Stations are nearby makes getting to London Bridge or Victoria easy, also buses to West End.

Living on my street the good points are some excellent, friendly neighbours. We don’t seem to have much anti social behaviour. The estate is owned by Peabody Trust and is mostly rented property.

It’s hard to live on Peabody Hill, especially if you are old or infirm, or pushing a pram. No shops nearby the nearest are at Tulse Hill, but good shops in Norwood Road. if you don’t mind a walk or Stroll it’s OK. In the local area is a very good Junior school Rosendale, and also the difficult to get in Kingsdale. Excellent Private Schools nearby . Not to Far a walk to Brockwell or Dulwich Parks. Excellent places to eat in Dulwich Village and a few nice small shops. Rosendale Pub and Alleyne’s Head both about 10 min walk away. Tulse Hill Tavern bit nearer. Good bus services from Norwood Road and two station West Dulwich and Tulse Hill are a short distance. Very nice community living on Birkbeck Triangle.
