Overview of W11 2HR, Clarendon Road, Notting Hill

The area is upmarket and quite established and posh, you are more likely to bump into lawyers and bankers on the street rather than artists, students or cool funky folks. However it is not too far from Ladbroke Grove which luckily kept its more edgy character and original population which helps to freshen up the atmosphere.

Transport

With 2 tube stations at a walking distance (Holland Park and Notting Hill Gate) as well as many bus routes, the area is very well connected. It is also in walking distance from Paddington Station so national network is at hand as well.

Community

The area is quiet and clean. This also may be its down side: sometimes it feels too posh when you would like an atmosphere which is more urban and rough, but that's West London, not east.

Amenities

Area is close both to Holland Park and Notting Hill Gate so there are loads of shops and restaurants, both chains and independent. Portobello Road is just around the corner so pubs, bars and more restaurants are available there too. Westbourne Grove is a particular gem with high end shop and, Boutiques delies and more. The area is extremely green with abundance of open spaces, parks, squares and gardens, among them the beautiful Holland Park with its spectacular Japanese garden.

Vibes and dynamic atmosphere dislike will be some anti social behaviour and also sometimes in carnival time. It’s almost safe area

Transport

Rush hours issues always there. School open and close time loads of local people and specially summer time and holiday at high season the tourists come to portobello market as one of the London tourism spot and sightseeing place. Regarding the public transport it’s accessible by tube bus taxis also lots of Santander cycle docks.

Comes with noise of cars tourist school opening and closing time also anti social behaviour just now that’s there is no Nottinghill carnival some horrible people hold their party at home or street with noise and disturbance. Policing is good enough bin collection is OK. There is an Estate in my street as most of them seems tenants Also we have some owner as well
