Transport

The area is very well connected by public transport - the nearby London Victoria station is extremely well connected to southern london and allows for easy overground connection and travel. The underground is also excellent with a number of nearby underground stations such as st James and Pimlico linking together different underground rail lines. These can get quite busy sometimes which is the only draw back however it is generally a convenient way to travel

Community

Mainly renters in the area, singles couples and some small families. This means there is a quite reasonable feel to the area and atmosphere. The facilities and provisions are generally quite good, such as bin collection. There is a fair amount of traffic and construction noise and pollution which can sometimes be frustrating

Amenities

There are large chains in our local area such as Pret, Costa and also restaurants such as Nando’s and Zizzis. It would be preferable to have more local independent shops too - both food and beverage, restaurants but also local retailers too. There are parks nearby and a development up the road in cardinal place with retailers and food outlets which are good to visit with friends. There is a small square being developed nearby too and some more restaurants being opened in the area. There are pubs too; however there is a lack of outdoor seating - such as beer gardens and spaces in the summer months to sit and eat or drink out
