The rent isn't London's cheapest, but the tradeoff in commute can be worth it.

A generally pleasant place to live. It can be a bit of a walk for groceries if you're in the market for something specific, but otherwise amenities are at hand. The area is safe, though not too many areas for kids to play. An expansion into compost pickup would be a great addition. The rent isn't London's cheapest, but the tradeoff in commute can be worth it.

Transport

Welcome to the crossroads! King's Cross/St Pancras will get you where you need to go: between trains, buses, and the Tube, it's hard to find a place that's out of reach. Some cycle lanes, though more developing. Generally clean, if a bit loud on Gray's Inn Road. Warning: some accessibility issues if you are dependent on level pavement.

Community

If parking is a must, this may not be the place for you. Bin collection for larger buildings have had significant rat issues, though pickup is otherwise solid. Traffic can be a bit loud on Gray's Inn Road, though even one street off is much quieter. The area is a mix of students and renters - families and twenty somethings, pensioners and middle-aged. An overall congenial atmosphere, though the (usually) constant tourist presence can get a bit wearing if you're walking in highly trafficked areas. Anti-social behaviour minimal, but a huge presence of cameras.

Amenities

King's Cross and surrounding area has an abundance of restaurants, both chain and local. The bars are clustered around Caledonian Road, but there are both cosy local and hip cocktail bars to choose from. For open spaces, head to Coal Drops Yard. Not too much right next to the station for shopping, but if you get even a few minutes out there's some nice variety.

I really like that my building has recycling and food waste collection in addition to normal trash

The area in general is quite safe compared to the other areas I’ve lived in. The thing I like the most is how good the transport links are and how close you aren’t to everything. The atmosphere is relatively middle class which is nice sometimes but it also means that prices of everything around the area can be higher than less wealthy neighbourhoods

Transport

The transport links around the area is fantastic with big interchanges like kings cross st Pancras and Euston all really close by. You can get busses really easily as well. From international trains to the overground, busses and tube along with cycle routes almost everywhere it’s incredibly easy to get around . Although it can be a bit scary on bike around the main roads due to the amount of traffic during rush hour

Community

I really like that my building has recycling and food waste collection in addition to normal trash, which is a big plus for me.there is occasionally anti social behaviour not not quite enough for it to be a big issue. The are is mostly students but there is a good mix of families and elderly

Amenities

The local area is really nice and safe, with a range of supermarkets like Sainsbury’s and Waitrose. There are also a lot of quaint coffee shops like store st espresso which I really like. It’s also really green with parks relatively close together. Russell Square in particular is my favourite.

Limited choice of supermarkets, and all quite small.

Some nice small parks. Very central and well maintained.

Transport

Not many buses on my street surprisingly, need to walk to either kings cross or holborn. Same for tube.

Community

Lots of traffic noise, and constant. Mostly renters and landlords can be quite bad. Bin collection is also bad, but depends on the specific building.

Amenities

Good restaurants, but not so many are open on weekends. Limited choice of supermarkets, and all quite small.
