It’s an up and coming area with new apartment buildings coming up. The proximity to the Tate, Shakespeare’s Globe and the river make it an ideal spot in terms of activities and cultural enrichment. It is ideal for professionals, students and even young parents, who enjoy city life and being in the centre of a social and cultural ethos. While some parts of SE1 could use an uplift, the area is generally welcoming and offers something for everyone

Southwark station is nearby, offering quick links on Jubilee line to Canary Wharf within 9 minutes. Waterloo is also under a 10 minute walk, offering Northern and Bakerloo lines. It is also quite useful being connected to the South of England visa train station. There are also plenty of bus routes.

Direct walk to Southwark and Blackfriars bridge. Plenty of restaurants and superstores within a 3 minute walk. One of the downsides is the fact that it’s a main road, and parking is limited, however, it does not get too noisy.

With no shortage of stores, there is always a Tesco or Sainsbury in sight, with a Waitrose on Stamford Street. There are plenty of restaurants from burger hubs like Byron, to bakeries such as Gails, which provide excellent ground coffee and freshly baked pastries. One of the most exciting spots is just a 10minute walk from Southwark station - Mercato. This bustling outdoor/indoor food hall boasts all sorts of different cuisines/snacks and street food, with craft beers and lagers available in abundance.

Being central London, and it's basically as good as you're going to get! Lambeth North is incredibly close by, and if you don't feel like the underground; the bus system is also great, and there's essentially a bus every couple of minutes, although it does get a bit frustrating when there's a chokepoint somewhere along the way, and basically every bus starts to be late. Since covid, public transport has been a little bit more worrying, especially with how packed the underground can be, especially during rush hours, and ESPECIALLY during the weekends, but hey I guess it's more of a perception thing now compared to how it used to be before.

Whilst I rent myself, a lot of my neighbours seem to own their houses, and some of them are older folk that have lived there for a number of years.

Being so close to central London, SE11 seems absolutely brilliant to me if you can afford to live in this area. With plenty of parks incredibly near by, meaning you don't need to spend a single cent, but if you do; there's plenty to choose from! Plenty of restaurants and pub around the area, especially really lovely ones on the dock, like the Tamesis Dock, and plenty of touristic attractions for your loved ones coming on holiday (maybe not in 2020), like the London eye not a 15 minute walk away.

It's a great area and has been under some regeneration which seems to be making it better. It's a lively area but not overly noisy and be calm and quiet at some times too. it is definitely suitable for children and pets and i think it is safe.

The transport links are plentiful, with buses, bikes, trains, tubes , cabs and walking all being right there for you. The roads can be quite busy at certain times but not enough to worry. the area is very clean for London too.

Parking is not the easiest, but you expect that in London living and don't really need a car. /the main road can be noisy and busy bout only really during the daytime. There is a real mix of people on our road, which is what makes us love it.

I live in waterloo and the shopping there is great and then also so accessible to the shops in town. the green spaces are a plenty along with lots of outdoor space. there are enough local food places to never cook each moth if you didn't want to. the Southbank is a great place to wander and also relax when it is quieter. I don;t think much is missing just maybe some more high street shopping?
