I feel that my area doesn't have a distinct vibe as it welcomes everyone that lives here. However, I think there could be a few more things out in place for children and teens so they have things to do. I would definitely say it's a suitable area for pets as there are some good parks with a lot of green areas. I'd also say it's a child friendly area, especially since most of the people who live on my street are families with children. There are lots of smaller parks and schools nearby also.
Transport
There are quite a few bus routes that run through Deptford and there's a train and DLR station which can get you into central London very quickly and the service is regular and reliable. The nearest overground is at Surrey quays and the nearest tube is Canada water which isn't too far out either,so the area is well connected. However, the area is lacking cycle routes/lanes and the availability of the hired santander bikes. Rush hour is also a huge problem as a lot of traffic builds up in Deptford and the buses are usually very busy, so I think maybe more buses should be put on for that hour or two.

There is quite a few places to park for free in Deptford which is good but also there is a lot of noise as the main roads get quite busy. Most people that live on my street are families who rent their flat.

There are a few good quality local shops on Deptford High Street and there is a huge range from local run butchers and salons to small supermarkets and cafes. There's also a lot of bars and good places to eat on Deptford High Street with a huge variety of cuisine, varying from Lebanese to Caribbean. There are a few parks in Deptford but the most well known and biggest is Deptford Park which has a lot of green areas for people to practice sports. The local areas that are most popular are Surrey Quays and Lewisham just because there are more shops there, especially clothing stores as there aren't many in Deptford.

What I like most about living in Deptford is the peace and quiet you get. In addition I also like the accessible transport that you can receive in addition to the community, the only thing to dislike is the bins not being empty by the local council. The overall atmosphere of Deptford is quiet, calm and peaceful. Deptford is not in need of regeneration and is a unique place to live. The area is a suitable place for children and pets to live in.

There are a wide variety of busses to other areas, in addition to a local train station there are also good places to cycle along the road the service provided by the bus and trains are very reliable and very effective for the community and the services are clean however the traffic depends on if it is after kids have come out of school or going to school then it gets busy. The problems Deptford faces in terms of transport is the lack of an underground station which would help the community and lack of night buses being reduced.

The good aspects of living on my street is the peace and quiet you receive from the local area, crime is very low in Deptford, most of people whomst live in Deptford are renting from the local council, however when it comes to parking in the flats there is no space available and there is no nearby parking facilities to use, the bins within the flats get filled up quickly leading to overflow which is a common issue. Due to not being in the big city of London there is minimal traffic noise and minimum anti social behaviour as Deptford is a quiet area

There are a range of independent shops along the street alongside an independent Chinese restaurant with plenty of available seating, there is also a Mcdonalds and a KFC and an independent chicken shop on the main road, this accommodates for the restaurants along the road, there are several open spaces most noticeably Deptford park, it is a big luxurious space and is never packed as there is always a space to hang around at. An interesting local area is Deptford market, it is a big place with a wide variety of things to purchase, there is also a library, cinema and gym located within the area. In addition there is also a national rail station and local buses nearby.
