My street is incredibly quiet and is inhabited by both owner occupied flats and housers aswell as rented flats .My street is mainly inhabited by families and couples and is a three minute walk from beautiful Walpole Park. My street requires a permit from 10 to 11 am and 3 to 4 pm but this can be obtained easily from Ealing Council and can then be accessed via the Pay by phone app making it incredibly easy for you to pay the small fee for guests/contractors visiting your property during these times. The Borough of Ealing provides waste and recycling bins for residents and these are collected on alternate weeks. You can also obtain a green bin for garden waste for a small annual fee and this is collected fortnightly. My street is also a five minute walk from Lamas Park to the south and all the shops at West Ealing to the West.Ealing Broadway with all its shops and restaurants is a ten minute walk through Walpole Park or you can also walk to it via the streets around the parks perimeter. South Ealing Station is a fifteen minute walk with direct underground trains to Heathrow and West Ealing is a fifteen minute walk to the West with TFL trains taking fifteen minutes to Heathrow.

Ealing’s historical name was Queen of the suburbs and it truly is! Ealing is one of the greenest boroughs in London and is characterised by a plethora of tree lined streets and multiple parks including Walpole Park at the centre which boasts a duck pond, cafe, children’s play area ,cafe and restaurant.Walpole park also holds both The Ealing Jazz and comedy festivals every summer. Ealing is also the home of Ealing film studios which was visited in the recent past by the Duchess of Cambridge . Ealing has fabulous transport links and is on the Central,District and Piccadilly lines and will soon herald the advent of Cross rail enabling passengers to reach Central London’s Bond Street in approximately 12 minutes. Ealing has a multitude of restaurants from Italian to Vietnamese to Middle Eastern . I love living in Ealing and wouldn’t want to live anywhere else!

I am a user of public transport I can get pretty much everywhere as I need to but obviously receive the same frustrations as everyone does in the country with punctuality of such services my friends who drive always comment and complement the positioning of Ealing in terms of its location near to the M1 and M40

Living on my street is a mixture of students families couples and young professionals due to this diversity the general atmosphere is very easy-going and it’s easy to make friends

There is a huge range of everything in Ealing you never have to go far to get what you need however I would say that there is a lack of diversity in terms of price range as Ealing can be a very expensive place to live
There has been a lot of redevelopment which has been extremely disruptive.
Lack of cohesion and the police are disgraceful
Transport
The bus routes are good connecting Uxbridge to Shepherds Bush and surrounding areas. There are plenty of transport links

Amenities are available 24/7. There has been a lot of redevelopment which has been extremely disruptive.
Amenities
There are numerous parks, the lido, cafes and hairdressers. The area is well served by Sainsbury’s and Waitrose supermarkets - with Jacobs passage a little -known walkway over the railway tracks connecting the shop and high street- and transport links are good into Central London and HS2 will boost the convenience further still. However, West Ealing shopping is not what it used to be these days with Halifax bank, M&S, Woolworths, MarkOne, BHS and indoor market all closed now. There is a nice Japanese restaurant, Haru and modernised Salvation Army hall off the main high street. There’s a popular mosque and large church. There are traditional barrow boys at fruit, veg and flowers stalls still and nowadays there’s a farmers market on Saturdays also.
Mostly lived by students, workers and nurse as their is an hospital nearby

The area is in need of regeneration. There’s a lot going on already, but the high street needs to reflect this
