I love that I have Sainsbury’s on my door step . Local corner shops 2 mins away and my family was born a bred in the area. I dislike one of my neighbours which is a neighbour from hell, but the positives of the area irradicate that. The atmosphere is busy, bubbly and alive. Trendy and casual an all round place to live. There has been some regeneration in the area but more would be welcome. For example my old youth centre located on Townmead Road was the heart of the community for me and friends growing up. Would be amazing to see it up and running again for the youths of today. The area is as safe as can be for children and pets. Plenty of CCTV and neighbourhood watch groups and so on. Pleanty of green space for dogs with dog bin provided. Overall the safety I would give 85% out of 100 pretty safe. #LuvSW6
Transport
The is a very vast range of transportation links in the area from buses to British rail and tube. All within a good radius a 5-10 min walk roughly. On a good day most modes of transportation run on a decent service of course with the odd delay(due to accidents) for e.g. Most service stops are kept clean and run pretty well. Traffic you cannot avoid morning rush hour can be free flowing depending on the day as for the evening rush a lil bit slower but is gradually getting better. The night buses run pretty smooth too.

I have lived on my street for 3 years. And love my street. Windows are south facing so I get all that beautiful natural sunshine beaming through in the summer. I’m a driver and parking can be a bit of a nightmare from time to time. But some how I always get a spot. Bin collections are every Friday morning and are always on time. Lately we do get a lot of anti social behaviour, kids hanging around, drug deals on corners what area has no anti social behaviour ( I wonder). I put the hanging around to the Covid-19 situation the kids are bored. My road is a 20 speed limit and many evenings I hear car speeding down the roads at what to me seems about 60, I dread the day someone gets hurt. There is positives everyone talks to everyone on my street. We have renters, as well as people who own their properties lots of families with children. The children are our future.

I have lived in SW6 all my life love the area. There is wonderful array of shops, restaurants and bars most of the great quality in the services they provide. There are plenty of beautiful open spaces from South Park, to the Imperial Riverside Walk, which is one of my happy places. SW6 is a wonderful place for starting a business or family, very diverse and friendly place to live. The is a popular Pop-Up bar, Wonderland which has seemed very popular with the locals near and far, I would say it’s popular because you have a wonderful view of the Thames while chilling in a pod or section of the pop-up with drinks, music and friends. Having lived in SW all my life I would love to see more Black owned businesses in the area, more Black hairdressers, supermarkets, clothing stores entertainment and more this is all that is missing from the area.

I love the area I live in, it’s a beautiful and trendy area. The atmosphere is amazing and the area is definitely suitable for children. There are loads of primary and secondary schools near the area which are great schools and parks you can take your kids or pets to for a little outdoor activity. You can go to Fulham Broadway, putney, Clapham junction , Earl’s Court, Wandsworth, Chelsea kings road all in under 15-20 mins. All of these places have awesome shops and food places. Transport is easily accessible and the people are friendly. For every religion there’s a place of worship near you. It’s hard to say one thing I dislike about the area cause it’s an area I absolutely love. I grew up in this area and hope to continue growing up here for many years to come God willingly.
Transport
Transport is amazing consider the area is near central, you can get to central in under 30 mins by train and bus, you’ve got loads of buses and even night buses to take you where part of London you want to go to. Stations are clean and spacious. Friendly people around the area who can give you directions if you are lost and unsure of what transport to take to your destination. Rush hour is rush hour , wish I could say it’s not the case but it does get busy at certain times and with school kids using the same transport as you it can get quite annoying having a bunch of teenagers next to you screaming and shouting so I would say choose your travel time carefully always try to avoid rush hour if you’re using public transport and if you’re driving then obviously avoid the rush hour, nothing worse Trojan sitting in traffic and a cold winters evening or even a summer day haha . King road can at times get really busy with heavy traffic. Public transport is very reliable except for the days when there’s engineering works are happening so always check before your travel. Other than that buses are superb and on time. And there’s always either a station or a bus stop near to where you live.

There’s underground private parking where I live, isn’t too costly under £100 for a year. There’s also street parking from 5pm to 9am. Which is great if you do a 9-5 job you won’t get charged lol. It’s not noisy in the area but it does have a lively feel to it, it’s a very safe area, as its never quiet there’s always people around. Helps when you come home a bit late especially for the girls who came home from a night out. You don’t have any dark alleys just open streets with loads of light. There’s mostly families where I live and people who have busy jobs & renters.

The range and quality of the local shops is amazing, there are a lot places you can go to do your daily shops like Tesco, Co-op or Sainsbury’s, all right next to you. We’ve got kings road with the most beautiful Christmas lights And also the flower show is spectacular. There’s an amazing gallery nearby called saatchi gallery, they always switch up the exhibition so it’s worth giving a visit often when you’re free and walking around the area. There’s also a lot of yummy food options such as the Ivy Chelsea Garden, bluebird Chelsea, my old Dutch( amazing pancake). You’ve got a post office nearby as we amazing fast food places such as McDonald’s, kfc , subway and in Earl’s Court which is like 10 mins away by bus has new places that’s opened, the halal guys (Popular in New York & Jollibee popular in the Philippines. For those who love going to a local homey feel pub there is loads around the area, with regular punters who make you feel like you’re at home.
