Overview of Hammersmith and Fulham

I love the area I live in, it’s a beautiful and trendy area. The atmosphere is amazing and the area is definitely suitable for children. There are loads of primary and secondary schools near the area which are great schools and parks you can take your kids or pets to for a little outdoor activity. You can go to Fulham Broadway, putney, Clapham junction , Earl’s Court, Wandsworth, Chelsea kings road all in under 15-20 mins. All of these places have awesome shops and food places. Transport is easily accessible and the people are friendly. For every religion there’s a place of worship near you. It’s hard to say one thing I dislike about the area cause it’s an area I absolutely love. I grew up in this area and hope to continue growing up here for many years to come God willingly.

Transport

Transport is amazing consider the area is near central, you can get to central in under 30 mins by train and bus, you’ve got loads of buses and even night buses to take you where part of London you want to go to. Stations are clean and spacious. Friendly people around the area who can give you directions if you are lost and unsure of what transport to take to your destination. Rush hour is rush hour , wish I could say it’s not the case but it does get busy at certain times and with school kids using the same transport as you it can get quite annoying having a bunch of teenagers next to you screaming and shouting so I would say choose your travel time carefully always try to avoid rush hour if you’re using public transport and if you’re driving then obviously avoid the rush hour, nothing worse Trojan sitting in traffic and a cold winters evening or even a summer day haha . King road can at times get really busy with heavy traffic. Public transport is very reliable except for the days when there’s engineering works are happening so always check before your travel. Other than that buses are superb and on time. And there’s always either a station or a bus stop near to where you live.

Community

There’s underground private parking where I live, isn’t too costly under £100 for a year. There’s also street parking from 5pm to 9am. Which is great if you do a 9-5 job you won’t get charged lol. It’s not noisy in the area but it does have a lively feel to it, it’s a very safe area, as its never quiet there’s always people around. Helps when you come home a bit late especially for the girls who came home from a night out. You don’t have any dark alleys just open streets with loads of light. There’s mostly families where I live and people who have busy jobs & renters.

The range and quality of the local shops is amazing, there are a lot places you can go to do your daily shops like Tesco, Co-op or Sainsbury’s, all right next to you. We’ve got kings road with the most beautiful Christmas lights And also the flower show is spectacular. There’s an amazing gallery nearby called saatchi gallery, they always switch up the exhibition so it’s worth giving a visit often when you’re free and walking around the area. There’s also a lot of yummy food options such as the Ivy Chelsea Garden, bluebird Chelsea, my old Dutch( amazing pancake). You’ve got a post office nearby as we amazing fast food places such as McDonald’s, kfc , subway and in Earl’s Court which is like 10 mins away by bus has new places that’s opened, the halal guys (Popular in New York & Jollibee popular in the Philippines. For those who love going to a local homey feel pub there is loads around the area, with regular punters who make you feel like you’re at home.
