The area is safe with lovely residents and a multicultural accepting community. Everything is literally available on your doorstep within a 5 minute walk.
Transport
Walthamstow Central bus and tube station is about a 5 minute walk. Expect it to be very busy in the mornings around 8am (pre-covid), however being the first stop on the Victoria line, it’s the best place to get on.

Having lived on this road for almost 30 years, I can safely say that it is one of the most amazing neighbourhoods. The people are friendly with no anti social behaviour met.

Living right next to the market brings a huge array of amenities, from a 24 hour gym, multiple supermarkets, a cinema, a train station connecting you to London city central within 20 minutes, multiple restaurants (including Halal ones!) and the once longest outdoor market in Europe all within a few minutes walk. For the Muslims there’s also a mosque on the next road, and a church around the corner for the Christians.

Transport is fantastic! Don’t think have ever complained about getting in and out. The buses are not the cleanest but I think that’s a general thing.

People who live on my street are mixture of owners , families and renters not much students. Parking can be a challenge but we survive.

There are different range and qualities of local shops, you can walk pass a local corner shop ( which are always good) one minute and the next walk past a local restaurant which you know it’s very local and most people who attend all know each other!on the same street you will find a popular franchise restaurant like nandos where you can entertain people without going too far from your door step. Overall, there’s nothing you need that you can’t find.

The victoria line makes getting into central london both quick and easy and benifits from running twenty four hours a day, there are also several good bus routes.

It is quiet with a nearby park a short stroll away, the lloyd park market is a highlight every weekend.

Good local shops like butchers and a brilliant fruit and veg market, friendly pubs and several nice resteraunts. Lots of open spaces like Lloyd park and Walthamstow wetlands.
