I love the atmosphere of my area, it is definitely more upmarket than other areas in Greenwich and offers beautiful views of London and the O2. I would say the area is suitable for pets as there are lots of places to walk them by the river and the woodland areas. Also I would say that it's very suitable for children to live here also as there's a lot of services offered for kids nearby.
Transport
North Greenwich tube and bus station is nearby and has reliable connections to central, East and further south of London. The nearest train station is Charlton and the nearest DLR is cutty sark, which also isn't far. There's a lot of cycle paths and walking paths too. There are many buses that are regular and reliable, but it can be a hassle getting to other areas of London such as West London because there aren't any direct connections.

My area is nice and quiet and I have respectful neighbours who are mainly young professionals who are renting their apartments. There doesn't seem to be a lot of antisocial behaviour and the area is kept very clean. Parking, however, is hard to come by and can be very expensive in my area which isn't good for when I have people visit me.

There aren't a lot of local shops near me but there is the O2 arena which has a shopping outlet and a variety of restaurants. Also there are a few big retail parks just a stones throw away that have all the supermarkets and high street shops. I have a big IKEA and cinema around the corner from my apartment too. Everything is so close by that I don't need to travel to other areas for anything. There are lots of open spaces around my area where people go to exercise with amazing views of the river Thames and canary wharf, but there's not alot of parks or actual green spaces nearby.

The things I mostly like about greenwich would be atmosphere of greenwich o2. Me and my sons have created a transition of going to Lola's cupcakes in the o2 station a few times a month for a special treat. Little routines like this, with happy vendors make living in greenwich exciting. Theres small playground inspired by Montessori play situation around the peninsula for children, I see many every day.
Transport
We have north greenwich bus station that is on our doorstep, buses are regular and always on time. The drivers are friendly and will always offer help when you need directions. Or if buses and tubes arnt your thing, we have a cable cart and river boats for a new and exciting way to make your daily commute. Cost effective and not as congested as buses, trains or tubes, I would heavily reccomend getting a boat even just once to experience the views of the riverside developments and art scattered along the river line.

Greenwich peninsula has a large population of young families. It's a busy and eventful area, suited to families but also enticing to the younger population for great transport links and job opportunities in London. I see many neighbours who are couples and students. The student are respectful and very social, the couples enjoy the romance greenwich has to offer in the form of art and appealing food.

Greenwich is a beautiful and exciting place to live for new families. From river walks to multicultural restaurants and several recreational facilities located around the area, se10 offers us no opportunity to get bored. Grab a boat into inner london for a new way of transportation to work rather than heavily pack tubes. Softplays, trampoline park and a secret hidden beach across the river accessed easily with the Emirates cable carts offering a brilliant view of greenwich has captured the hearts of my family. Always something to do!
